My Microneedling Experience

Hello my loves! ❤

As a growing child, I, too, went through my fair share of hormonal changes, and yes that included the dreaded ACNE phase. I started getting acne pretty early. I would say, I was around 6-7 grade. At first it was a pimple here and there. However, when I was in 8th grade, I started getting cystic acne. For those of you who do not know, Cystic acne is a form of acne associated with long-standing, painful nodules of the face, back of neck, chest, and back. Unfortunately, I had cystic acne on my face and on my back, which left behind horrible scars that just were not going away. During the time I had cystic acne, my poor parents tried to do everything in their power to make sure the acne does not leave permanent scars on my face. I went on both topical and oral medication and I was getting facials done every other weekend. However, the damage was done, they were not able to prevent me from having permanent scars. And thus, began my journey of insecurity.

The thing is, if you have blemishes, dark circles, or hyper-pigmentation you can cover that ish up and no one will ever know you had it. That is what makes having acne scars/acne so freaking painful, there is NO way to cover it up. You can use 100 pounds of makeup and still have the acne scars peep threw. I personally think having acne scars was the reason I was insecure and not confident. I felt like I couldn’t leave the house without makeup on, and whenever I talked to people, I felt like they were staring at my acne/ acne scars and not ME.

After I got married, through YouTube, I discovered the Mirconeedling treatment. I researched, researched, and researched. I was intrigued when I read that the Microneedling treatment safely and effectively treats acne scars and helps to improve skin texture. I found a good rated spa that did the treatment, went to their website and after looking at the before and after pictures, I was sold.

And then, began the long six months of treatments. Watch my in depth Microneedling Review down below! This includes before and after pictures, questions answered by my technician, and what a procedure consists of from start to finish! Let me know if you have any questions, enjoy!

**Yes I said, Epipen instead of SkinPen in the video lol**
